What is the Child Care Pathway?

Family and Consumer Science (FACS) will assist with lifeskills used throughout your lives. Our entry level class, FACS-Essentials (Lifeskills) class will give you a snap shot vision of each of the FACS area,s that you will be able to utilize throughout your future (Foods and Nutrition, Relationships, Money Skills, Workskills, Interior Design, Parenting, Childcare, Early Childhood Education).  Your passion for children will allow you to understand the concept of human development of children from birth through twelve with our Early Lifespan Development class, This class shows necessary areas of development pertaining to physical social, emotional, intellectual and moral growth of each child through each life cycle of life. Child Care Services 1 and 2 will give you the direction on completeing your four C's certification toward your CDA qualiafications, along with the opportunities to obsesrve the actual process of childcare through onhand experiences with our school daycare, community daycares, and Roby's 3-4 year old program.   Finally, Relationships is a class that develops and gives you insight of who you really are with values, needs, wants, relationships, communication and how to deal with individuals you will meet in your lifetime.
